AM I the Author (Part 2)

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

"Whether we realize it or not...we are in the midst of a novel."

“Once upon a time…”

Is there any better way to start a story? When is the last time we read a story like that? Usually this would be a children’s book.

I used to love to read to my kids. More so, I loved to tell them stories. Whether it was about warriors or dinosaurs with the boys with us as the heroes, or about princesses and unicorns with my little girl, they all started with those famous words: “Once upon a time…”

And let the story begin: magic tractors, mythical animals, sword fights, warriors, warrior princesses, anything to keep the mind thinking and the adventure going. And how did each story end? It was “and tomorrow we will see how…” until that adventure ended, just waiting for a new one to begin.

When it did? It started, once again, with ‘Once upon a time…’

What happened to those times? What were you like ‘Once upon a time…’? How has the story unfolded since then?

Since you have started spending a few minutes with Jesus each day – let me end with these thoughts:

Where is Jesus in your story? And where was Jesus 'Once upon a time…'?
